Meet RFK Education Award Winner Myah-Talia Blair

What did winning the 2024 RFK Award mean to you?

Winning the award made me feel good, because it symbolizes hard work, and it also symbolizes how much effort I put into the year. It helped me realize that I could be a leader and I could help my peers.

What, to you, makes a good leader?

A good leader or role model is someone who knows what they want and knows what they're looking to accomplish, and fights to help get to their goals, and helps others as well.

What's your favorite part about being a student at your school?

My favorite part is overall just like helping my friends, making sure that they know that we're on the same page, especially academically, and whenever they're struggling, I could see an opportunity to help them.

What are your hopes for the upcoming school year?

I am definitely looking forward to accomplishing my 11th grade year with the same effort and motives, or even better, than I did in 10th grade year.

What are some passions or careers you'd like to pursue after high school?

I want to be a cosmetologist, or a lawyer.
